Screen printing: Day 1

I wonder why I chose to major in visual communication. Textile design is so much fun. I'd give up my laptop and run to the wet lab any day. I was so thrilled when I got this course. I have wanted to learn screen printing since school and I grabbed the opportunity this time.

Yesterday we started off with mono-printing, which was basically playing around with textures and patterns. We used leaves, barks, flowers and our hands to create them. It was super fun.
Here are some pictures from  the day.

Just can't wait to go back today and experiment some more.

Where have I been

A new series of illustrations. This started out as something for my screen printing course and then it grew into this. My obsession with feet continues.

I think there will be more to come. I wonder what the prints will look like.

Intern Diaries

Documenting the last two months in illustrations. This is fun !

Painting after long

A much over due painting was made for the Fella's b'day. He asked for it last year and I, err...umm...ahh, completed it a week before his birthday this year.

As always I was extremely skeptical about it, wondering if he would like it at all.
And all that nervousness went to waste coz he loved it. Tee hee.

It symbolizes a lot of things which I am not about to disclose here :P
But ya, it's going up in a house soon to be ours :)

I really need to paint more. I missed it terribly.
